White Line 01:33
A little house and a shit job keep you chained to the town You pray for rain in the evening so you never feel guilty for the dreams that you drown. I don't wanna become a lifeless piece of shit like you I ain't be walking the white line or follow your footsteps, I go my own way. And when I say sorry I never am, I like to listen but I never learn. I lived along the white line a life that's never been mine.

Glorious Day 01:37
How thin is the line between joke and abuse? How close can they come before they step on your shoes? Are you gonna push them or look at your feet? Are you gonna laugh to keep the tears off your cheek? Here ends another glorious day. How thin is the line between joke and abuse? How much can you give and how much can you lose? Are you gonna kick them or look at your feet? Are you still gonna laugh to keep the tears off your cheek? Friendship isn't happening when laughs just go one-way Friends are not the ones who tell you what to do or say.

Watchtower 00:55
"A wonderful summer on a solitary beach" we let the gentle waves get the best of each. We drift away in silence cause there's no need to speak, the distant radio tells me it's useless to resist. "A wonderful summer on a solitary beach" we filled another year with things we don't believe in. There ain't a better place to sleep the world away, a distant radio tells me the things I didn't say. She swears that she never spoke, she swears that it's been a joke. A lifelong joke.

No bad beheaviors, no false alarms. We keep our guard up while we keep our voices down. We work in silence from nine to five We swallow everything before it hits the ground. We're model prisoners until we escape. This cell has no walls, no bars or door We can't break free from all the things we did before. We wait in silence for our time to come We're modern criminals, our fault is to let go.
5.
I'm gonna change the world today, gonna burn daddy's car today. I'm gonna skip the class today, I'm gonna smoke my mind away. But I got bored so easily of my riot attempt, I need my daddy's car to go on this year's summer camp. I'm gonna beat some bum today, I'm gonna throw my books away. And we forgot so easily what riot really meant, when the whole point of doing it was burning summer camps.

Backseats 00:50
A life seated on the back, only survivor of a car crash The one that no one remembers when the candles turn to black. Watch the world one second late Always fear to be replaced. You're always the last arrived, your friends change before your eyes. Wait for your chance to shine with the seat belt buckled tight. No one knows what's good or bad When they live stuck in the back.

I learned to run with wolves without growing my teeth Like juggling with fire while looking at my feet. I've sweat a thousand shirts while trying to fit in On sleepless nights that fill the walls I sleep between. I'll be alright in the house of a hundred knives. I broke my collar bone from always looking down The day I got my chin up I never made a sound. Cause when you run with wolves you never win. I learned to play a chess game without a queen or king.
8.
One year stranded, six months alone Never shook the feeling of this cold in my bones. Far from home, nowhere to be Hundred miles away from anyone around me. Great river, wash me away. Make me forget every useless day.

about

"Di respirare la stessa aria di un secondino non mi va, perciò ho deciso di imprigionarlo nella mia ora di libertà; se c'è qualcosa da spartire tra un prigioniero e il suo piantone, che non sia l'aria di quel cortile, voglio soltanto che sia prigione."
Fabrizio De Andrè
